The environment are protesting on the high rise building project in Mya Yeik Nyo Hotel campus which constructed by Zey Kabar Campany.
Nearby the building project, tank and water pump which supplied to 9 townships in Yangon.
Because of that place is one of the highest plateau among Yangon plateaus. Tank was installed in that place and supplied the water since from in the past 90 years ago.
Therefore the protestor are worried that tank and water pump may affect because of the high rise building construction. Moreover, they also worry that Shwe Da Gone Pagoda view might lost if the high rise building built on the Plateau.
Yangon Region government had already confirmed that they have no plans to protest Mya Yeik Nyo building project permission in the meeting of government association which was held on June 8, 2017. And this project is hold by Zeyar Kabar Company.
“12 buildings with 24 storeys and a three storey building will be built,” reported to Myanmar Times by U Taung Htawt, Hlawtaw A Mat.
At present the project had stopped from this month 14 of March.
